Amnesiacs

Four strangers wake up in the middle of a town without any memory of who they are or how they got there. The four strangers will have to work together, or not, in order to progress through the game in order to find out what happened.

“Amnesiacs” is a co-op, choose your own adventure game. Each player takes their turn playing as one of the four characters that are stuck in the town where they make decisions to explore their surroundings. There are 3 stages to play through as the players advance through the story.

 

We are passionate about this game because it implements multiplayer into a genre that is traditionally single-player and gives us a chance to focus on teenage emotional challenges. There has been a significant increase in the number of youth who face mental health disorders. However, most times these teenagers do not confront their problems and ask for help. They bottle up all of their feelings because they think they're alone and other people won't acknowledge or understand their problems. Amnesiacs is a response to the magnified fears teenagers feel before they enter into adulthood when dealing with depression, anxiety, insecurity and loneliness. "Amnesiacs" addresses these fears and allows teenagers to experience what it means to have these problems.
